How to Hire

 

If a customer enquires about lifting equipment your staff need minimal or no training on products they simply need to call us or login to our web site where they will find all the information they need including downloadable product info and technical specifications.

It is suggested that customers may wish to allow customers to call from a phone in your branch if so please feel free to take advantage of the experts in our offices.

  Monday – Friday 08:00 to 17:00
  Saturday 08:00 to 12:00

  Calls will be diverted out of these hours to ensure no sales or hires are lost.

The brand new web site will help you find what you need easily and quickly. 

Our powerful search engine will search all fields and parts of texts.  We have also linked products by application and suggested the correct equipment for use.

You’ll also find a link to local weather information so you can suggest to the customer how long they will need the equipment.

Products are easily found in product categories and each product has downloadable pdfs that you can provide for your customers.

We are also loading manufacturer’s videos to this site to allow you to show customers the correct way to use and install. 

 

 

Transactions

Calls will be directed to our specialist team in Hire Stations call centre. 

 

Customer transactions can be handled as account or as cash accounts using credit cards and debit cards, deposits if required would be taken at point of order. 

Wholesale Lifting Hire will process all payments as “Hire Station” on credit cards.  Prices are subject to VAT, at the current market value however all invoices and statements will make this clear.

Transactions will only be made on a Credit Card or Debit Card basis unless a separate trade agreement is made. Hire Station can handle all major credit and debit cards.

Wholesale Lifting Hire is able to offer trade accounts.  Account forms can be found on line at:

Invoices and statements would be sent from our accounts department bearing our own hire brand. 

Details and management reports about transactions and information can be found on our extranet service.  Details and user instructions are available upon request.
On line orders sent via our Wholesale Lifting Hire web site will be placed directly onto account.  Our web site will calculate the expected value for the hire to allow you to charge your customer correctly.

It is the policy of Wholesale Lifting Hire to never charge our customers for damage to equipment before the customer has been notified of such damages. 

We offer a service known as Damage Waiver to protect the customer. Protection which indemnifies the customer against accidental damage, for any incident occurring during the period of hire.

In the event of damage to equipment Wholesale Lifting Hire will advise the customer and charge accordingly unless damage waiver has been taken by the customer.  We would propose that all customers are offered the opportunity to take this service to protect your losses.

Damage waiver is normally available at 5% of the hire charge.  Details could be provided in the promotional material if required.  Wholesale Lifting Hire is also able to extend this service to cover loss and theft under agreement.

 

 

Delivery / Collection

 

Wholesale Lifting Hire are prepared to deliver items to your locations or the customers site directly to save you the cost and problems of delivering.  In addition should you wish to collect we make the units available for collection for our depots or any of our nationwide sister companies if required.

Deliveries and collections will be made on a Hire Station vehicle.  Wholesale Lifting Hire is prepared to allow our hire controllers to negotiate on transport if required by the customer. 

Timed deliveries will be kept to a minimum and not confirmed at the point of order, only requests for am or pm will be taken.  If required Wholesale Lifting Hire will call the customer on the day of delivery to confirm a time window for delivery and we will liaise with the customer and our local branch to ensure the best service possible is provided.  

Customers must be advised that some one MUST be there to sign for goods on delivery. 

Delivery notes will be kept and recorded for audit purposes and as proof of delivery.   This helps you, as much as us, resolve invoice queries quickly and effectively.

The customer must also be advised that some one must be available to sign the collection note on collection.  The customer must be advised that the goods must be ready for collection as agreed and the equipment must be accessible when Wholesale Lifting Hire arrives to complete collection. 

The customer must also be required to provide a phone number for our drivers to call in the event of a problem.  As with deliveries only requests for am or pm time slots will be given.  If required Wholesale Lifting Hire will call the customer on the day of collection to confirm a time window for collection and we will liaise with the customer and our local branch to ensure the best service possible is provided.  

Please note that while we have forklifts for loading equipment may need to be off loaded with forklifts and customers should be advised accordingly. 

Equipment can also be shipped on courier networks if required.  Please ask for details.
